Attributions, Licences & the Tinker’s Tools of our craft

Every adventuring party has an origin story, and ours began three years ago long before we ever imagined running a shop. We fell in love with TTRPG’s through the worlds of Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons, and, like so many adventurers before us, quickly found ourselves stepping behind the screen to become Dungeon Masters. As we gathered gear for our quests, we encountered a problem that no amount of Bardic Inspiration could fix: the accessories we wanted were nowhere to be found. So we did what any determined DM would do… we multi-classed into Artificer we made them ourselves, taking homebrewing to the next level.

What began as a personal side‑quest to enhance our own games, quickly levelled up into House of Black Games, an opportunity for us to share our treasure trove of accessories with other players and DM’s. Every product we create is rooted in the same question we asked back then: What would make our games run smoother, more immersive, more colourful or more fun? That philosophy continues to guide us. The enthusiasm of fellow players, the feedback we receive, and the shared passion of the TTRPG community continue to push us toward new ideas, new designs, and new innovations.

A Party of Artists, Allies & Licensed Creators

While we work hard to develop our own designs, artwork, and models, we also love working with and supporting other artists; as we have all learnt from experience, every adventuring party needs support from some carefully selected NPC’s. We believe deeply in supporting the artists and creators who inspire the hobby and we proudly work with and license from small creators whose talent elevates the TTRPG space:

- We proudly hold official licences for artwork from the talented Korapol and Michelle Lukezic, whose artistry could charm even the grumpiest gelatinous cube.

- We are honoured to be an officially licensed seller of Kekreations 3D, whose models are so imaginative they might as well have been pulled from a Bag of Holding.

- Some of our creations incorporate imagery from Game‑Icons.net, often re‑enchanted, reshaped, or transmuted to fit our designs.

- And of course, we continue to be inspired by the legendary artists and creators who bring us D&D, Pathfinder and other TTRPG’s.

Supporting small artists is part of our alignment, Lawful Good with a dash of Chaotic Creativity. The TTRPG community thrives because of passionate makers, and we’re proud to stand shoulder‑to‑shoulder with them.

If you are a small business or creator and want to work with us, we would love to hear from you!

Tools of the Trade (and the Arcane Forge We Call a Workshop)

Our workshop has grown alongside our ideas. We started with one humble 3D printer, experimenting late into the night to bring our first concepts to life. As our shop expanded, so did our toolkit. Today, we use a combination of advanced 3D modelling software, CAD tools, and the incredibly useful resources available through Makerworld.com/Makerlab to refine and perfect our designs.

As we have gained levels, we have expanded our 3D printing capabilities and invested in a top of the range laser engraver to bring even more options to our store.

To ensure the highest quality in every piece we produce, we’ve invested in top‑of‑the‑line equipment—including precision laser engravers and cutters—allowing us to offer a wider range of materials, finishes, and personalised products than ever before.

Why We Keep Crafting (and Why We’ll Never Stop)

Our creations are shaped by the same forces that shape a great campaign: passion, curiosity, and the joy of sharing something magical with others. We build the accessories we once wished existed, and we share them because we know how much a well‑crafted tool can elevate a session from “fun” to “legendary.”

Every message from a happy DM, every photo of our products at your table, and every review of our product provides us Heroic Inspiration.

Thank you for being part of our story—and for letting our work become part of yours.
